The spirit of volunteerism is alive and vibrant in Oklahoma! At White Fields, we benefit from people that take their personal time and energy to devote countless hours to helping our boys. Volunteerism matters and makes a tremendous difference in our boys’ lives. They learn and grow from the relationships and bonds they form with our volunteers, whether it is on an individual or group basis. There are many ways to become involved as a volunteer. Below, you will find more information on the various opportunities for individuals or groups.
One by one—do you love kids? Do you have an hour or two to spare a week?
A hobby you would like to share with our boys? By becoming involved, you are bound to
make a lasting impression in the lives of our boys!
Spend quality time with one of our residents two or more times per month
for a few hours at a time. This meaningful volunteer commitment is something our boys
truly appreciate and is a critical component in their overall healing.
If you are interested in reading with one of our boys regularly
or helping at our school library on campus, we would love to have your help.
Do you have expertise in a particular subject? Are you interested in helping our boys with homework?
Tutors are need for core subject areas across all grades (middle through high school).
SPECIAL SKILLS VOLUNTEER
To provide our boys a broad array of experiences, we need volunteers who are skilled
in areas such as: Art, Athletics, Boys Scouts, Drivers Education, 4-H, Horticulture, Music, Piano, etc.
We would like our special skills volunteers to share their talent with our children
who have an interest in your area of expertise.
Come share about your career! Our boy’s minds are being shaped and seeing
diverse fields of work will help them learn about opportunities that exist for their futures!
If you like to organize and have some extra time, we could use your help
with filing and organizing around the office.
White Fields does not currently have any internship opportunities.
Come one, come all—whether you are looking for a place your company, youth group,
college organization, or family to get involved, we have opportunities for everyone to help
make a difference in the lives of our boys!
There is nothing more important than welcoming a new child into the White Fields’ family
with a package that says, Welcome Home! If you would like to create and deliver baskets,
we welcome you to do so! These baskets are given to each child when he arrives at White Fields.
If you would like to donate a welcome basket, please contact our office at
firstname.lastname@example.org or 405.302.5123.
Large groups are always needed for landscaping and gardening help
in order to maintain the trees, lawn, garden and flower beds on campus.
Deep cleaning and organization in buildings on campus is also needed.
Let us know if your group would like to help beautify our campus!
Our holiday volunteers help decorate campus for holidays such as New Year’s,
Valentine’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Your group can also host a holiday party for our boys on campus or at a family friendly venue.
If you want to help make our boys’ holidays one to remember, contact us today to schedule!
HOLD A DONATION DRIVE
If you would like to organize a donation drive at your company, church, school
or organization, our “Needs List” is updated regularly. Many of our items are consumable,
so we welcome donations throughout the year from our Needs List.
PARTICIPATE IN OUR FUNDRAISING EVENTS
We hold two major events each year: The White Fields Invitational and Clay Classic.
If you would like to volunteer to assist; serve on a committee; or become a sponsor, we invite you to do so.
Please contact the development office for more information on our events.
