A Different Mission Field

Gary and I are celebrating 31 years of marriage this month.  We have two grown, married children and 4 grandchildren.  We have always felt called into ministry and actually met at Bible College.  We served on the mission field in Peru and Argentina for 26 years, as Bible College teachers and Pastors.

We returned home in 2015, but wanted to continue to serve God by helping people. That’s when we were introduced to the idea of becoming houseparents and working in a different type of mission field. We worked as house parents for two years in Texas at a group home but felt like we were being called to do even more. We learned about White Fields in April of this year and at once felt a true connection to their vision and goals. We realized that God was moving when we received the opportunity to meet Frank and Matt and learned about the incredible work White Fields is doing to help heal these boys. We were excited become a part of Founders Cottage in June as relief home parents. We believe that through this program, boys’ lives are being impacted as they heal from past hurts and find comfort in God’s love show by people who care for them.
